About Us
Rooted Hybrid School began as a God-sized dream in the middle of a hurricane Helene sleepover for two moms. Rachel and Nickie both wanted a place for their kids to have a Biblical education and be around other like-minded families. After a long few months of work, support of their home church Grace Chapel, and even more paperwork, in August 2025 Rooted Hybrid School launched. With a few families coming alongside them, they began a homeschool resource for the families of West Columbia and surrounding areas.
Mrs. Nickie
I taught Special Education for 7 years in the public school system. After having my daughter, Amelia, I then taught kindergarten at Hebron Day School. I enjoy reading, quilting, being outside and traveling with my family. We love camping! Starting Rooted Hybrid School has been such a blessing for our little family to provide the sweetest place to learn and grow!
Mrs. Rachel
I am a licensed occupational therapist. I have been working in the public school system since moving to South Carolina in 2019. I enjoy drinking coffee and listening to audiobooks. My family and I have started gardening together and enjoy going for walks on our land to see what is growing and living there. I didn’t want to send my children to public school and starting Rooted Hybrid School has allowed me to be involved in my kiddos learning!
